A letter from your practitioner:

Beloved,

This moment in time is an invitation into softening and remembering: that while this portal is deeply personal, it is also communal. Whether you are welcoming life, navigating loss, or standing at the edge of both, you do not carry this alone. You are part of a lineage of women who have walked before you, and a living thread for those yet to come. To me, the work of a birth and bereavement companion is to be with women as they walk through the many thresholds of becoming. Offering a steady hand, an encouraging voice, and medicinal humor along the way.

I align with this work through the traditional sense: rooted in community, relationship, and devotion to the sacred art of witnessing and lovingly tending. My understanding of birth and loss is carried through lived experience, self-study, mentorship, and the imprint of my own lineage. I come from a line of midwives, witches, medicine women, psychics, and healers. Their generational wisdom moves through me, and I remain open to a wide web of living and ancestral learning.

This practice is a living evolution of ritual and prayer braided through the physical, emotional, and spiritual layers of the reproductive and bereavement continuum. I tend carefully to the body while honoring the unseen currents moving beneath the surface. Grief, joy, fear, relief, longing, love. You already carry the strength and wisdom required for this passage, whatever form it takes. My role is to offer reflection, clarity, and steady presence. Opening space for rest, nourishment, integration, and remembering. You are deeply and profoundly held.

To walk this path—of birth, loss, and transformation—is to hold a reverent and revolutionary responsibility.

With love,

Carriese
